2018 Ford F-150

As you'll see in our 2018 Ford F-150 car review, this Motor Trend Truck of the Year® is a rough-and-tumble pickup, offering plenty of strength and power to drivers in the greater Alliance area.

Drivers in Canton, and Hartville areas can learn more about how the F-150 can meet their needs here.

2018 Ford F-150 Engine Specs

When you make the F-150 your truck of choice, you'll get no less than 290 horses in your stable. That's how much horsepower the standard 3.3L V6 engine produces, along with 265 lb-ft of torque.

Looking for more of a power boost? The available 2.7L EcoBoost® and 5.0L V8 engines will give you just that, with an output of 325 and 395 horsepower, respectively. Both produce 400 lb-ft of torque.

If you're looking to tow heavy loads, however, you'll want to upgrade to the 3.5L EcoBoost® engine. This engine generates 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. By sacrificing a bit of power for improved torque, it's able to tow a best-in-class maximum of 13,200 pounds of weight behind it.

In Spring of 2018, drivers will also have a diesel engine option. The 3.0L Power Stroke® V6 Turbo Diesel engine generates 250 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque. This engine has the capacity to reach maximum torque at low gears, making it ideal for towing.

F-150 Payload and Cargo Bed Options

The 2018 F-150 is made from a high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy, which decreases its curb weight by hundreds of pounds over previous models. Because of this, it's able to reach a maximum payload of 3,270 pounds.

You can fit all that weight into three different cargo bed options, the 5.5-foot box, the 6.5-foot box and the 8-foot box. These will give you a cargo area of 52.8, 62.3 and 77.4 cubic feet, respectively.

This space becomes highly accessible with the Remote Tailgate Release feature, which allows you to open and close, and lock and unlock, the tailgate with your key fob.

Convenience Features

In addition to the available Remote Tailgate Release, the Ford F-150 offers several convenience features that make for an easier and safer driving experience.

If you're towing something behind you, standard trailer sway control will adjust the braking mechanism to keep the trailer steady and in its intended lane of travel.

When you're ready to dock, use the available Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ feature to keep the trailer headed in the right direction-as indicated by a knob on the dashboard-when reversing into a parking space.

As you travel down the highway, you'll be happy to have the available Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) on your side, monitoring your side blind spot for other vehicles and providing an alert if it's not safe to merge. The range can be extended to include a conventional trailer, as well.
